JLG Telehandlers Northwest Territories
John L. Grove decided to retire after spending numerous years working together with his brother to be able to build their crane manufacturing business into a global leader. His wife Cora and John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip utilizing their R.V. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading manufacturer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment.
John spent much of the time in the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates who the Groves were visiting on their trip. Sadly, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a product that can quickly and safely lift people into the air in order to carry out maintenance and construction functions.
After John and his wife returned from the journey, John decided to take action. He and two close friends began a partnership and after that bought a small metal manufacturing business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During 1970, with an initial team of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Many parts of the basic design elements of that very first equipment are still being integrated into the present machinery
The company has come a really long way since John L. Grove came back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown dramatically since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Numerous innovative machinery are designed to help clients work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained devoted to being the leader in the business. The company takes operator comfort into account really seriously. They try to deliver in performance, as well as overall comfort and safety so that the driver could be as productive as possible.
