Caterpillar Reach Stackers Northwest Territories

A type of vehicle that is designed to move containerized cargo in medium and smallsized ports and terminals is called a reach stacker. Reach stackers are ideal for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.

Because of their flexibility, reach stackers are a common choice for handling intermodal cargo containers. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks could be kept four-deep.

Another version of the stacker is designed to handle empty containers only.

Kinds of Forklift Reach
Generally utilized on construction environments is a type of forklift known as forklift reach. It is equipped with very big tires that provide great stability on uneven terrain and a boom. The forklift reach comes in the following variations:

Appropriate for racked pallet storage, a Stand-Up Reach includes a narrow reach.

The Straddle Reach has hydraulic-like scissors attachments and outriggers attached at the front.

The Double-Deep Reach is outfitted with an extended reach mechanism which allows the storage of pallets in double-deep racks.
